Letter from VFW Post 2593
Dear Fellow American:
On December 10, 2010, United States Marine CPL Justin Mcloud lost both of his legs and his left arm after stepping on an improvised explosive device in the Helmand Province.
As part of our outreach campaign to help veterans the Veterans of Foreign Wars District 8, VFW Post 2593, its auxiliaries and the Marine Corp League Jeffco Detachment 707 are sponsoring a BBQ benefit on Saturday, July 2nd, 2011 for CPL Justin Mcloud and his family.
We would greatly appreciate your donation to assist us in making this event successful for Justin whose sacrifices made possible the freedoms we all enjoy today.
Donations can be in the form of product(s), gift certificate(s) or tax-deductible monetary donation. Please make checks out to CPLJustin Mcloud and mail to:

Sincerely,
Brad Denny

All money raised is collected by the Arnold VFW Post 2593, a registered non-profit. Checks should be made out to Justin Mcloud. The money is held in an escrow account, then transferred to Justin, tax-free, when he engages an attorney to ensure the transfer is properly made. The funds are not restricted. The post recognizes that, although health care is provided by the military, there are many other family needs–adapting a house, vehicle, etc.
